Real-time PAT Execution & Data Analysis
Using DeltaV™ Spectral PAT and AspenTech Inmation™

Wednesday, May 21, 2025 | San Antonio, TX

While PAT has been widely deployed in pharmaceutical manufacturing, challenges remain. One challenge is integrating the execution of PAT models into the existing process automation infrastructure, along with the need to manage the unique data generated by spectroscopic analyzers and chemometric analyzers.

Traditional PAT platforms interface with two systems—increasing costs and complexity to deploy and maintain. Additionally, access to spectral and model output data is challenging, throttling scientific advancement.

Collapsing PAT instrument control, model execution, and operations into a single platform within the existing infrastructure (DeltaV) and liberating the scientific data, via AspenTech Inmation, solves these challenges.

AspenTech Inmation provides a flexible and lightweight data broker technology that delivers PAT data and performance statistics from DeltaV and the analyzers to the enterprise (on-prem and cloud).

This solution leverages the existing DeltaV automation infrastructure to deploy PAT technology on the commercial shop floor in a simple and cost-effective manner. AspenTech Inmation delivers spectral data to the Scientists at Level 4/5 for model development/refinement, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

This customer use case will be presented by Brian Sauerborn, Engineering Manager, and Dan Wasser, Industry Consultant on Wednesday, May 21, at Emerson Exchange 2025.
